“My grandma has always lit a candle on all my adventures to symbolically take care of me. This time, I bought her the biggest candle I found as a voucher for a massive challenge.
We both quickly knew we wanted to ride fighting against the elderly solitude, a cause that moves and supports both of us. I have teamed up with Cycling without age to combat elderly loneliness. Your donations will support Cycling Without Age, who make it possible for the older adults to stay active, stay connected to their communities and improve their wellbeing.
I will ride nonstop and unsupported until the candle goes off, compromising sleep and taking certain risks. While lightened, the candle will take care of me, as it always has.”
